Man Versus Food Day In St Louis
8:22 AMNo, we did not get to meet Adam :-( He was here back in 2008. It just so happened that Aaron woke up on Saturday and turned to the travel channel and the St Louis Episode was on. So we decided, since we hadn't been to a single one of these places, it would make for a great day. First, we went to Pappy's Smokehouse for lunch. Aaron and I stood in line for about 45 mins...
We split the ribs with 1/4 lbs of pulled pork, sweet potato fries and FRIED corn on the cob. My ratings: Ribs 9, Pulled Pork 9, Sweet Potato Fries 10, Fried Corn on the Cob 5.
Next, we moved on to Crown Candy Kitchen for a Malt Shake. It had been forever since I had a Malt Shake so I was pretty darn excited .
The result was another waiting line and a good malt shake. We selected the plain vanilla. I remember malts being more "malty" but it was good.
We needed to kill some time so we decided to take a little walk down by the river. Didn't realize that it was up so high!
After loosing about $30.00 I had enough but Aaron held me hostage until Cardinals/Mets inning 14. After the end of the inning we jumped in the car and hightailed it to Iron Barley so we wouldn't miss the rest of the game. We arrived and were presented with yet another 45 min wait! DID EVERYONE SEE MAN V FOOD THIS MORNING, haahaa! Luckily we found a spot at the bar and chowed down while watching the game.
We got the Monte Cristo and the Schnitzel Spaetzle, Rating - both were DELICIOUS. I decided I Love this place. The music was awesome, the atmosphere was awesome. Overall a great experience!!!
Well, after that great experience I was ready to head home BUT the game STILL wasn't over so we headed to Al Hrabosky's to meet up with some friends!
